2) Walking into a room filled with big beautiful flowers from my boyfriend (who knows exactly what I like. And I'm picky)

3) The cute little dish that I put my daily jewelry in at night

5) This article about the idiot who replied all to the ENTIRE NYU STUDENT BODY (all 40,000 of us) and basically broke the internet.

Hope you're warm and dry!

Gimme Gimme

Sorry it's taken me so long to post!! I've had some storage issues with Blogger.... apparently my blog has gotten big enough for me to have to pay for it. It's only $2 a month, so it's not too bad.

Thanksgiving was fantastic. It was so nice to be home with my favorite things: my boyfriend, my family, my dog, baking... I ate so much good food, watched lots of movies, and according to my NYC friends, got my accent back.

 My love!

Cutest grandmother ever

My ever-growing collection of siblings. So sad Katie Hill and Jonathan couldn't be there.

Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs.... that's still so fun to say

Katie Bug did a beautiful job decorating.... as always

The Roster

Headed back home for Thanksgiving today!!

1) Seeing THIS POOPER.

I have missed this dog more than anything in the whole world.

2) Obscure Street Art Activism??:

I like the Chihuahua with sunglasses.

3) All Black Everything:

I am so lazy when it comes to night out attire: black from head to toe, and a big smokey eye.

4) Little Bits of Nashville:

Go, Mom!

5) Sandy Continues:

I know it seems like I won't shut up about Sandy, but I just keep finding more great stuff.

WATCH THIS RIGHT NOW

It's incredibly beautiful and terrifying. Especially around the 3:30 mark, where you see Con Ed explode and a few seconds later, downtown goes dark.

Hope everybody travels safe and has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

hugs.

Like a Meg Ryan Movie

To get away from working I took a walk around the Union Square Christmas market, which is open everyday until Christmas Eve. It's my new favorite thing.

Hope everybody had a great weekend!

Oldy but Goody

I had a funny conversation with Evan the other day about taking pictures for my blog. The majority are Instagram or Photobooth (like the two below). Apparently, imagining me clicking the camera button on Photobooth and then having three seconds to run and get into a pose before the flash goes off is REALLY funny. And it probably is. But I can't ask people every day "hey buddy can you take some pictures of me and my pants?" I'm trying to make friends here.

Long story short, sorry the quality of these pictures is so crappy.

{vintage dress, target belt, H&M tights}
This dress has some serious sentimental value. It's the very first vintage piece I ever bought and it's still my favorite. It's all my favorite things in one piece: a black and white graphic print, 3/4 sleeves, a full skirt and a wrap v neckline. Forever favorite.

Happy weekend!!

The Roster

First of all, Tennyc has over 10,000 hits!! So excited. Keep them coming! Tell your friends!!

1) The holidays at Starbucks!!!!!!!:

I've had almost every Christmas drink. This was today's Gingerbread Latte. Thanks Mrs. Moskal for the gift card!!!
2) Sundaes and Cones:

{strawberry cheesecake ice cream}
This is the closest thing I've found to Jeni's in New York so far. It's not quite the same, but it's at least reminiscent. Lots of strange flavors and homemade cones.

3) Arm Candy:

{left to right: my grandfather's watch, vintage woven bangle from my grandmother, vintage moonstone bracelet, Kate Spade bangle, grandmother's charm bracelet}
One of my favorite ways to dress up my fall uniform of baggy sweaters and skinny jeans is an armful of eclectic bracelets. I'm especially loving this mix of gold and silver, new and old.

4) Theater turned Cinema:

I went to see Argo this past weekend (go see it right now if you haven't!) and was surprised when the theater I went to was in fact an old performance theater turned movie cinema. It was GORGEOUS. This was the chandelier that was on during the previews.

5) This Beauty:

Artist Sebastian Errazuriz was inspired and moved by the rising waters of Sandy and created this t-shirt. 100% of profits go to Sandy relief. I WANT ONE. You can get it here.

Happy Wednesday friends!

hugs.
