For our first Tisch writing assignment we had to go visit a New York City landmark, the Highline. Then we had to visit various art galleries in Chelsea (more to come on that later) and write a paper comparing our observations on the two.... I really like art school already.
Anyway, the Highline is incredible. I had never heard of it but it's definitely one of my favorite spots now. It's essentially an elevated park, developed over what used to be highly active train tracks. It's an incredible collaboration of nature and industry, capitalism and art, rapid and static. If you want to learn more about it, check out this link.
I took about 75 pictures, but I narrowed it down to these 16. The views were incredible.
